Oral expansion

An oral expansion device is normally used during the first phase of an orthodontic treatment. It widens dental arches to create extra space if you have overlapping teeth or malocclusion.

When a child nears the age of seven, we recommend an orthodontic consultation so that the dentist can see how the teeth are coming in. By examining your child’s teeth early on, we can treat problems and even stop them from progressing, such as the premature wearing down of teeth or temporomandibular joint disorders.
